Pastor Brett’s greatest passion in life is to serve Christ, the church, and his family. He enjoys doing this most through preaching God’s Word and discipling men in the faith to grow and become faithful leaders in the church. He is deeply thankful for his wife and children who are God’s greatest gifts to him in life, and are a reminder of God’s daily goodness. He earned his Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies, and a Master of Theology Degree from Phoenix Seminary where he also served as a teaching assistant to both Dr. Wayne Grudem and Dr. John Meade. He loves to read both for work and in his free time. His favorite books of all time are the Art of Prophesying and Call to Ministry by William Perkins, Desiring God by John Piper followed by Authentic Ministry by Michael Reeves. He also enjoys playing and watching sports and perusing God’s creation on hikes and outdoor activities.
Jack Brown, the retired principal and school administrator, is a man of many talents. He may have once ruled the halls with an iron fist, but now he’s more likely to be found wrangling grandkids or trying to convince the church choir to sing a little louder. His family affectionately calls him “the gentle giant,” and his church members swear he’s the only one who can keep the peace during Sunday potluck. He’s a man of unwavering faith and a heart of gold, and he’s always up for a good laugh, especially if it involves a well-timed pun or a slightly off-key rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
Carmelita “Carm” Sawyer is our other awesome assistant and she keeps everything running smoothly! She’s also in charge of our Coffee Team on Sundays, knows everybody, and loves Meechigan sports! Go Blue!
Debbie Fanko is one of our two awesome assistants and can answer just about any question you may have about Graham, the surrounding area, or how to get to West Point (she and Andy have two sons in the military). Go Army!
Stephanie is wife to Phil and mom to five. She enjoys being with kids – homeschooling her children, teaching part-time at a local elementary school, and teaching Sunday School at Graham. She also loves organization, which is the part of the job as finance administrator that she enjoys the most.
It all started with being asked to run the lyric slides during Sunday services, then occasionally helping to lead singing. Not long after, with the Lord’s prompting, Ben felt called to develop a worship ministry here at Graham Church. His desire has been to truly model Colossians 3:16: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Be sure to check out Graham’s philosophy on music!
Ben’s background has always been in the creative arts, specifically in Theatre, where he’s lost count of how many performances over the past 25 years. His favorite role? Being a husband to his lovely wife Nicole and father to four kiddos. He spends much of his creative energy now immersed in music. With an eclectic taste, just ask him what he’s currently listening to.
